Next stop...

Japanese Pirate Adventure!!

YAH!~

In order to get to our next desination, a peaceful mountain top area, we had to cross a big lake. In a strange japanese recreation of a pirate ship. Little known fact. European pirates, although rare in the seas surrounding japan, were actually quite plentiful inside of it's many small lakes. Tossed there by typhoons they raided nearby fishing villages and over time eventually become fossilized.

It's not rare to pass by small statues of buddha along any wooded path, and this one was no exception. Small one yen coins had been placed by previous travelers on the heads of these buddhas. I placed a *five* yen coin. Because DAMMNIT I'm an american~!

These paths were very peaceful. However... I did have to wait for the occasional hiker, families, school outings...

(aww... they really were cute and well behaved though.)

more peaceful, meticulously arranged, zen things. Ah... japan, you have such an appreciation of the calming path of the mind... Then again the cities on the other hand...

Dun dun DUUUUUNNNN!!

Harry returns from the wild to voyage forwards into Japan's great cities. Being from New York this should bring familiar grounds... Or will it??

(twilight zone theme song... aaaand cut.)
