So... Hey!

First post on a new blog from japan.

I've already been here for a few weeks, and I would start off by showing you the airport I arrived in, the road leading to my house, and my building, but...

I accidentally deleted my initial arrival pictures. whoops!

(don't worry too much, it was only like ... fifty or so pictures, and none of them were very good)

In any case, I've been doing a lot of traveling around Japan, and for my first post I'll do a few pictures about the first place I visited, a hotsprings area outside of tokyo.

Because of internet annoyances I'm only going to upload a few pictures every day, but I will try and do it every day.



Hey! A toy robot museum! One of the first things to greet us as we (me, cilian, and a friend of cilian) as we get off the train and head to our super cheap mini hotel. This is JAPAN!



Cilian spots the sign up ahead for our hotel. Hmm... makes a little more sense why it was so cheap. ha...



Into the abyss!



The receptionist at the desk was nice, sweet, and could only speak a bare minimum of english. Luckily for all of us we had reservations, so it wasn't unbearably complicated. Always good to plan ahead, very glad it wasn't me doing all the arranging...



Our luxurious room! haha... little cramped... Still very nice though. They also set us all up with futons later and even gave us tea! (well, actually they gave us hot water and tea powder, but it was close enough)


... speaking of tea just reminded me that I need to go eat dinner.

I *promise* to update this blog every day... or every other day if I have to... And I have hundreds of photo's ready, so there's no shortage of materials.

Hopefully I'll get through the first few weeks fast and be able to catch you all up with my life on a more daily basis...

... um... yeah!
